Michelle began lecturing in accountancy in 2013, bringing a wealth of real-world finance experience to help students conquer their exams.
Before transitioning into teaching, she worked as a Client Service Director and Global Finance Manager, overseeing group reporting, financial planning, and governance, while also leading key projects such as implementing new finance systems and enhancing investment strategies.
These roles provided Michelle with a deep understanding of the finance world, a passion for problem-solving, and a knack for making even the trickiest concepts understandable. It’s this combination that fuels her passion for teaching financial reporting and financial management papers—subjects she excels in due to their perfect balance of technical expertise and strategic insight (tax remains off the agenda!).
When she’s not teaching, Michelle can be found on her bike—whether road cycling, mountain biking, or tackling whichever adventure calls next. She’s pedalled her way from Land's End to John O'Groats, Geneva to Mont Ventoux, Bordeaux to Barcelona and even competed in a seven-day stage race in beautiful British Columbia. If there’s a hill, she’s climbing it; if there’s a challenge, she’s grinning through it.
Expect high energy, boundless enthusiasm, and a smile big enough to rival the Tour de France finish line. Seeing her students thrive and achieve their goals is as exhilarating as speeding down a mountain on her skis—both leave Michelle feeling on top of the world.
